The following positions are currently open for applicants:

*Family Support Specialist*

Will provide child abuse prevention education to the community and will work directly with parents of identified high-risk families. Must work with other program staff to develop and implement effective program plan and practices that support the operation of Family Partnership programs.

Requirements: Minimum of Associate degree in Family Studies or related field and at least one year of experience working with families. Able to read, write and speak English in an understandable manner. Ability to plan, organize, develop and interpret component goals, objectives, policies and procedures necessary to provide quality services.

  • Maintain accurate records of family contacts and actions taken, maintaining confidentiality.
  • Maintain good relationships with community agencies, schools, and the public to encourage community support and understanding of Family Partnership programs and services.
  • Serve as resource person and technical advisor to other staff members to facilitate positive interaction with children and parents.
  • Assist with recruitment as requested .
  • Maintain regular communication with Supervisor, coordinating team and other staff to facilitate rapid and accurate flow of information.
  • Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis as well as a calm environment throughout the facility.
  • Attend and participate in orientation, in-service trainings and program meetings, etc., on a regular-scheduled basis, to assist in improvement of services.

* ASSISTANT GROUP SUPERVISOR CHILD CARE PROGRAM *

Will work cooperatively with child care staff to provide an optimal learning environment that is safe, healthy and promotes exploration for children in our care.

Requirements: Must have HS Diploma or GED., higher education is a plus. 2500 hours of experience with children. Must be dependable, available to work flexible hours and truly desire to work with children.

  • Supervise and insure the safety and well-being of the children at all times, being alert for the needs and or problems of the children as individuals and as a group.
  • Assist in the implementation of daily activities under the guidance of the group supervisor/lead teacher.
  • Keep classroom, storage rooms and bathroom clean, neat, orderly and disinfected.
  • Be familiar with and follow all child care policies.
  • Report any cases of suspected child abuse or neglect to Director and proper authorities.
  • Handle discipline promptly and in accordance with stated policy on discipline.
  • Greet parents and children on arriving and leaving the center.
  • All information concerning children and staff is to be kept STRICTLY CONFIDENTIAL.

* Certified Recovery Specialist*

Responsibilities:
1. Provide recovery education to service recipients for every phase of the recovery journey from pre-recovery engagement, recovery initiation, recovery stabilization, and sustained recovery maintenance.
2. Provide a model for both people in recovery and staff by demonstrating that recovery is possible.
3. Assist recovering persons and their families to identify their personal interests, goals, strengths and weaknesses regarding recovery.
4. Assist/coach recovering persons and their families develop their own plan for advancing recovery; for “getting the life they want.”
5. Recovery Planning -- facilitate (via personal coaching) the transition from a professionally directed service plan to a self-directed Recovery Plan. The goal should be to transition from professionally assisted recovery initiation to personally directed, community supported recovery maintenance.
6. Promote self-advocacy by assisting recovering persons to have their voices fully heard; their needs, goals and objectives established as the focal point of rehabilitation and clinical services.
7. Actively identify and support linkages to community resources (communities of recovery, educational, vocational, social, cultural, spiritual resources, mutual self- help groups, professional services, etc.) that support the recovering person’s goals and interests. This will involve a collaborative effort including the recovering person, agency staff and other relevant stakeholders.
8. Support connections to community based, mutual self-help groups. Link individuals to appropriate professional resources when needed. Provide vision-driven hope and encouragement for opportunities at varying levels of involvement in community based activities (e.g., work, school, relationships, physical activity, self-directed hobbies, etc.).
9. Develop relationships with community groups/agencies in partnership with others in the agency.
10. As recovery specialist position evolves and knowledge increases, visit community resources with recovering persons to assist them in becoming familiar with potential opportunities.
11. Identify barriers (internal and external) to full participation in community resources and developing strategies to overcome those barriers.
12. Maintain contact by phone and/or e-mail with recovering persons to insure their ongoing success and to provide re-engagement support in partnership with others in the agency if needed. Long-term engagement, support, and encouragement.
13. Maintain project logs, reports and records in appropriate files and database(s).
14. Develop, implement, and promote ongoing community training opportunities, including Saturdays at The Center.
15. Work with staff and other community professionals to implement and promote recovery-oriented training programs and opportunities.
16. Other duties as directed by Executive Director and/or Management Staff
17. Employment contingent upon a completed sex offender registry check and one of the following criminal history records;
State or tribal criminal history records, including fingerprint checks or
Federal Bureau of Investigation criminal history record check, including fingerprint check.
Must have an initial physical exam and TB test and repeat physical bi-annually.
Must have a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle available for use.

Requirements:
High school diploma/GED and 3 letters of recommendation; must have worked within the last three years with at least 12 months total of successful part or full time paid or voluntary work experience. Must have acquired or agree to acquire certification as a Certified Recovery Specialist/ Certified Family Recovery Specialist. Individual must have an understanding of and respect for each individual’s unique path to recovery. Specialist must have a working knowledge of the drug and alcohol treatment system and a demonstrated commitment to the recovery community.
